System Requirements

The following equipment (software and hardware) is required to use the POSE Test:

• a computer with a keyboard and a mouse
   
• an Internet browser application (e.g. Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Safari, etc.) with the following features:
  • Javascript enabled—If you do not how to enable Javascript for your browswer, please see your users guide. To check to see if your browser is Javascript enabled, click the "Javascript Test" button below. You should a box pop up that says "Your browser is Javascript enabled." If you do not see the box, then you must enable Javascript before using the POSE Test.

  • Macromedia Flash Player—The audio in the POSE Test is delivered via Flash, so your browser must have a flash player installed. If you can see the moving image below, then you have a flash player installed. If you can't see the moving image, then you need to download and install the Flash player.   • You must be able to see images in your internet browser.
     
The POSE Test has been tested on Internet Explorer 6.0, Netscape Navigator 7.1, and Safari 1.1. We recommend downloading one of these browsers before using the POSE Test. IE 6.0 can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx. Navigator 7.1 can be downloaded from http://channels.netscape.com/ns/browsers/download.jsp. Safari (for Macintosh computers) can be downloaded from http://www.apple.com/safari/download/. If you have one of these browsers, and you have difficulty using the POSE Test, please feel free to contact us.
 
• an Internet connection—any connection speed is okay, however the POSE Test contains audio files and images that could take a few seconds to download over a slower connection (e.g. 56K dial-up modem). You may also experience choppiness or broken audio files over a slower connection. For best results, a DSL or Broadband connection is recommended.
   
• a sound card
   
• speakers or headphones (a microphone is NOT required)
   
• The POSE Test can be best viewed on a screen with a resolution of at least 1024 X 768. If you have a smaller screen, or set your resolution for a smaller setting, you may have to scroll to see some of the page content.
